I'm pleased to announce that I'm one of this year's winners at the 10th annual BC wedding awards!
As one of the biggest events for the wedding industry here in BC, it's a huge honour and also fantastic opportunity to see some amazing work from wedding professionals through out the province..
The format for the awards is pretty simple. With categories for nearly all aspects of a wedding (from best makeup and best henna, to best wedding venue, catering, and of course photography) vendors can submit work from any of their weddings as long as they have occured in that particular year. Judges then critique the submissions based on a set criteria (aesthetics, technicality, originality etc) and collect a set of finalists and ultimately winners. Everyone then gets dressed up, heads to a fancy venue, and awaits the results as they're announced live!
This year there were a few categories for photography I submitted this image from Emma & Connors wedding for "Best Wedding Couple Photograph".
It's an image I'm extremely proud of to have my work recognized is always something very special.
